The “why” of this podcast is to take a fun and in-depth look into the romance genre. To speak with some of its amazing author's, reader’s, publisher’s, independent bookstore owners, fandoms, and many more!
It's no secret that the romance genre hasn't garnered the literary praise and respect the way other genres have and do. You know what, friends? I'm not here to apologize for our tropes, or the sex, the scantily clad covers, or the sex, and I certainly won't feel shame about our Happily Ever After's. Or the sex. Romance is a billion-dollar industry which without question should all but guarantee respect. So regardless of what some critics may believe about the genre’s literary prowess, we're doing something right. Okuurrr!
Like so many fans of this wonderful world of HEA’s, I began reading in my teens and just grew up with the genre. Over the years we have evolved together, and with the advent of social media, have found a place to connect with others who share a similar journey.
Romancelandia is real, and we are a vast and varied tribe of supportive, unapologetic badasses who ride hard for our HEA's. It is my hope that this can be a place of comfort and discovery for us all.
